Bullies target caring and collaborative team players
If you would describe yourself as caring, social and collaborative, this may be the reason that you are being bullied. To a workplace bully, these characteristics drain the power they have at work. Team building is the antithesis of what a bully wants. Bullies want to be in control and to call all the shots. So, you may be targeted by bullies because you are a team player.

The bullies want to be in complete control and call all the shots at the workplace. They target caring, social and collaborative employees because these character traits drain the power they have at work. They do not want the employees of the organization to be united and want to stamp their authority at the workplace.

They target team players in order to disrupt unity at the workplace. They want to hamper the growth of good team players and want to be in complete control of them at all times. They could also be insecure of team players and good listeners who are usually adored at a workplace and hate seeing them get praised by employees and be loved by all. That could be a reason behind them targeting good team players and wanting to see them fail.
