Migrating in? Ensure that old links do not break

Quick summary

  • Who can do it? Administrators, Editors
  • How to reach it? Admin > URLs using forwarders

What, Why

Are you switching CMSs’? Existing story URLs from your site might not be compatible with how URLs are produced in Humane Sites. This will break all your referral out links and links in social media sites. Worry not. With Forwarders, you can route old links to corresponding posts within your new site. If you have more than 100 articles that need to be re-routed, we will programmatically add forwarders for you.

How

  • URL Pattern: URL of the page you want to redirect without the domain name
  • Destination post/ page: Connect it with the page or post you want the old URL to redirect to
  • Choose whether you want to activate the URL or not. If activated, the old link will be redirected to the new link.
